We're going to have a very short week this week....today and tomorrow....because we will be on vacation for about 10 days after. So....for this week, we are going to name the earthly brothers of Jesus. Today I'll give you the Biblical reference and you unscramble the names. Here we go.......

Our world today seems to revolve around numbers. Schools use a 4 point grading system, with 100 points available on most tests. We've heard a lot about credit scores lately.....the country's, our personal ones. (I heard the jingle for freecreditscore.com this morning. It's stuck in my mind! lol) In these cases, the higher the number the better off you are. 3/4 of a tank of gas is much better than 1/4! (lol)
In the medical field, everything is usually opposite. The higher the number the worse things are.......i.e., pain is measured on a 1 - 10 pain scale. A 10 scale pain is serious! Lab work is usually reported as a number.......cholesterol of 300 is much worse than one of 100. If you've been in the ER more than once for a specific problem, its definitely not good!! (lol)
Today, let's get a visual image going. Right where you are, right now, draw an imaginary line from one side of the room to the other. Paint your imaginary line the color you like best. Now divide into numbers, from 1 -10 and mark off your tic points. Decide whether you think 10 is good or 10 is bad.
Now let's evaluate ourselves. Where would you say you are on that line in regards to the relationship with our Lord......TODAY? At what tic point do you want to be......TODAY? The goal? Move one tic closer to the good number....TODAY.
Any movement toward God is an encouraging move!! Remember, however, He is the One that does the drawing. Ask Him! Have a wonderful one! Talk to you on October 3rd!

Simon and James. Oddly enough, none of Jesus' brothers believed in Him as Savior until after his resurrection. James is believed to have written the New Testament book of James, but there is nothing concrete to prove that.
